*RUBANDA RDC’S OFFICE HOLDS DIALOGUE MEETING WITH PARISH CHIEFS TO ADDRESS WORKPLACE CHALLENGES*

The Office of the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) for Rubanda District has held a one-day dialogue meeting with parish chiefs and town agents to discuss and address various issues affecting their work.
The meeting was held on Monday, 17 August 2026, at the Rubanda District Council Hall, bringing together parish chiefs, town agents, and officials from the offices of the RDC and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
Speaking during the meeting, the Principal Assistant Secretary, Mr. Mucunguzi Elly, said the government is committed to employing graduates with the necessary technical skills and competencies to effectively perform their duties.
Mr. Mucunguzi encouraged parish chiefs to pursue further studies to improve their academic qualifications and increase their chances of career progression and promotion. He also urged them to explore opportunities outside the district that could contribute to their professional growth.
In presence of the Assistant RDCs Mr.Bindeeba Hillary and Mr.Martin Turagyenda, The Rubanda District RDC, Mr. Kyeyune Senyonjo, said the main purpose of the meeting was to create a dialogue between the Office of the RDC and the CAO’s Office, while providing parish chiefs with an opportunity to freely express concerns affecting their work.
He urged parish chiefs to put their offices in order and begin planning for improvements where necessary, noting that they are important government officers whose efforts contribute significantly to service delivery at the grassroots.
Mr. Kyeyune said the meeting was also intended to provide a forum where parish chiefs could openly discuss challenges affecting their work so that relevant authorities could work together to address them.
He applauded the parish chiefs for their contribution towards strengthening parish-level administration and encouraged them to continue working hard to improve service delivery.
The RDC said his main objective is to see well-performing parishes, town councils, and the district as a whole, for the betterment of the country.
The meeting provided an opportunity for district leadership and parish-level officers to discuss these challenges openly and explore ways of improving coordination, communication, staff welfare, and service delivery across Rubanda District.
